THE CHALLENGE
Most organisations going through change will recognise at least one of these:
People must deliver BAU and transformation simultaneously and can't do both without something giving
The organisation reacts once problems are already impacting the business instead of catching them early
People can tell you what the change is about, but their behaviour doesn't fundamentally change
The same problems that derailed the last change initiative are starting to surface in this one
This isn't a change management problem. It's an Adaptive Capacity problem.
WHAT ADAPTIVE CAPACITY IS
Adaptive Capacity refers to eight conditions inside an organisation that enable it to absorb, respond to, and keep moving through continuous change and uncertainty. When these conditions are present, an organisation can:
notice and respond to what is happening in the system before it escalates
hold uncertainty without destabilising
stay engaged with both delivery and change at the same time
sustain engagement and effort through prolonged disruption
connect and move as one system rather than competing parts
get faster and more confident at change with each initiative
recover from setbacks without losing momentum or cohesion
HOW WE WORK
We work in a way that deliberately builds your organisation's ability to solve its own problems, not a dependency on external support.
We look for what's underneath the presenting problem, so the tool or intervention is built for the real cause not the obvious symptom.
Our tools are built to force real decisions, not just hand you insight and leave you too work out what to do with it.
Most teams are already at capacity. So the work is short, contained interventions built to fit inside a system under pressure.

ABOUT GABRIELLE PIMSTONE
I have spent over 25 years working across 60 organisations and 18 countries - from front line teams to boards - helping them navigate change that is complex, continuous, and high stakes. Accredited in depth facilitation and organisational resilience, I go beneath the surface to what is actually blocking adaptation - and to the human conditions that compound it. Known for putting words to what others feel but can't express, and for a sharp instinct for what is really going on.
